Change house model, for the 3rd time.

Okay, as we were comparing Glendale 34, Glendale 38 and Washington 33 (yes, I requested to increase the size of the living room to convert to home theater) we noticed there were many things to consider on those beautiful houses. Both builders had there own unique promotions, free upgrades and considerations.

And of course we asked carefully the two builders what then can do for us to save money (promotions and free) and at the same time still tick all the boxes for all the features we wanted to our home.

We went to M and we did not like what they can offer to us, well they given us $3000 discounts, however they cannot give us the complete and estimate of the site cost. Plus there were number of expenses which only occurred when they presented the tender. This is the time that we were blowing away our budget.

So, next appointment was with the CEO of W. We told him what we want and what we were looking for to build a house. The first advised he gave us to match the other builder house is to change our house model - the Manhattan 35.

Back that time when we were searching the house models my wife loved the designed of Manhattan but then I am was with Washington 32 because of the simplicity and budget wise. Then I realized when I was comparing the house model of M, Washington 32 and Manhattan 35 for additional $4000 we can have the big size of Home Theater and additional Rumpus Room. That time I told to the W owner that I will think about it.

The second advise, well the CEO of W discussed what he can do to close our deal, from the tender contract he removed the package price of site cost and itemized only which ones should we only 'needed'. In addition he gave us free contract extension (this price was almost $12K with M) and free H ($3K) slabs 'if we needed'.

So that night my wife and I did the calculation again, again and again. If we go to W we will save and estimated between $26K to $44K and our house gets bigger plus rumpus room.

Finally, for the value of the money, taste of quality and work life balance we made the decision to go with Wisdom Homes and changed the house model.

And we were satisfied and happy to paid $350 for changing house plan and model, from Glendale 38 or Washington 32 - to Manhattan 35.
